Get ready for an explosion of creativity as The Incubator Creative kicks off its September Street Party Arts Celebration on Friday, 5 September at 5:30pm.

Come hang out at Tauranga's grooviest community arts village, soak up some terrific vibes, live tunes and support the launch of five captivating new exhibitions.

Okorore Ngā Toi Māori - Whare Taonga Gallery showcases a new exhibition titled " He Kokonga Ngākau". This will be the debut solo exhibition for young emerging ringatoi and Incubator resident artist Ila-Rose Hepetema, featuring bold oil paintings and drawings of native fauna and reimagining traditional kowhaiwhai patterns.

The Incubator gallery - welcomes Rotorua artist Claire Delaney McLeary as she invites you into her whimsical world, where quirky characters and insightful paintings explore transformation, and the power of rewriting our stories using rich oils and watercolours.

The Pothouse Exhibitions Gallery - features another first time solo artist exhibition by Tauranga ceramicist Robyne Dowdall. In this collection" Yutori", Robyne presents humble, functional ceramics embracing imperfection and nature's beauty, born from a commitment to slow, sustainable making and a rejection of mass production.

Imprint Gallery - Cube Gallery showcases a stunning collection of incubator Creative Hub resident artist Shona Mackenzie titled "The "Edge of Intention"** showcases intuitive abstract landscapes where paper itself – torn, layered, and printed – becomes the medium, capturing memory and place through process.

The People's Gallery - Toi ka rere welcomes back Bethlehem college senior Art students for their second year, who have explored the powerful Māori concept of Tūrangawaewae — literally translated as tūranga (standing place) and waewae (feet), meaning “a place to stand.” Through design, photography, painting, sculpture and printmaking, students have reflected on their own tūrangawaewae. Their artworks are shaped and inspired by visits to Te Wairoa, Tauranga city, Mount Maunganui beach, their homes, whānau and friendships, as well as their Christian faith.

Join the celebration at our famous the Street Party launches! The evening offers a preview of all exhibitions at the Incubator Creative Hub.
