Due to popular demand, Whai Basketball is back to host another free accessible community event at the Tauranga city centre basketball half court next to the waterfront playground.
Meet some of the team, shoot hoops with the pros, learn tips and tricks, enjoy sweet sounds and good vibes with DJ Double D and legend MC Francis Kora on the mic.
Phoenix Performing Arts will also light up the court, with ‘Flame’ Hip Hop Crew and an adult duo showcasing their skills in the lead up to the national Project Youth Hip Hop comp being held at Mercury Baypark over King’s Birthday weekend. They’ll be teaching some mean moves too, so get ready to groove!
There are epic prizes up for grabs including Whai merch and home game tickets, free face painting, and Waitomo spin to win fuel.
This is an event you won’t want to miss. Lock in the date and tell your whānau and friends!
* Postponement date for poor weather is Sunday, 18 May.
