Celebrate International Fairy Day with a magical morning at The Historic Village!
Bring your little ones along for a free under 5's event packed with whimsical fun - and be among the first to explore our brand new Village Fairy Garden.
Dress up as fairies, elves or even Peter Pan, then follow the fairy trail through The Village with activities, bubbles, face painting, a scavenger hunt and more. While you’re here, enjoy delicious food and discover our Village retailers and experiences.
Highlights include:
• Unveiling our new Fairy Garden!
• Face painting + bubbles/foam fun
• Fairy hunt/scavenger trail through The Village
• Petting zoo + family-friendly atmosphere
• Fairy-themed activities (nails / hair / craft)
• Plus catch a screening of 'Tinker Bell and The Pirate Fairy' in The Village Cinema (from 11am, drop-in style, max 60 people at a time)
The SPCA will be onsite, so don’t forget to bring cash for a koha, as well as for some fairy-themed treats available for purchase throughout the morning.
We’re also collecting lightly used second-hand clothing and books for tamariki aged under 8 as part of our new Kai Aroha second-hand store. All proceeds will go towards helping feed those in need - so if you have anything to donate, we’d love your support! Drop off places are The Incubator picnic tables, Village office (at gate) and Kai Aroha store (near fairy garden).
