Join Bay of Plenty based multimedia artist Darrinee Horton, for a creative, low-cost and tactile activity while learning about the wonderful world of mushrooms!
Craft a unique mushroom sculpture, and/or a mushroom necklace, using locally foraged items, sustainable and upcycled materials including: fibers, ribbons, string, paint and more.
You are welcome to bring your own foraged finds as well.
Suitable for: Ages 6 years and up
Please note:
All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult - we are all about learning together! You can book one spot and collaborate on the same piece or book 2 spots and help each other out with your own individual creations.
About the Instructor:
Darrinee Horton is a trained special effects makeup artist and a community support worker for people with special needs. She is very creative, loves most things strange or weird, and enjoys helping people of all ages find their creative flair!
