NZ Beach 5s rugby and our partners are excited to bring the 3rd annual Beach 5s rugby to the magnificent Mount Main Beach at Mount Maunganui, on Friday 6 to Sunday 8 December 2024, with 50 teams and over 500 players joining us with their friends and family on the beach.

Beach 5s Rugby is a 5 aside sand-based competition, based on modified rules of rugby. There are no line-outs, no scrums and no conversions. It’s the game you know – but not as you know it! The game is perfect for all, with unlimited substitutes.

• Friday 6 December from 3pm to early evening, we welcome our senior men and women to the sand to battle it out
• Saturday 7 December from 9am to 3pm, our older youth (boys and girls) hit the sand (Years 9 to Years 12)
• Sunday 8 December from 8.30am to 3pm, our younger youth (boys and girls) take the sandy court (Years 5 to Years 8)

It'll be a jam-packed weekend of fun for players, supporters and spectators with a festival atmosphere and we welcome all. Entry is free!
