The first week of The Incubator July school holiday programme celebrates Matariki with a selection of classic Kiwi films for our older school holiday viewers at our boutique Village Community Cinema.

HUNT FOR the WILDERPEOPLE is a cinematic Kiwi classic! Directed by Taika Waititi and celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the film follows Ricky Baker (Julian Dennison), a defiant young foster kid, and his gruff foster uncle, Hec (Sam Neil). After Ricky’s beloved foster mother dies (Rima Te Wiata), the duo inadvertently spark a nationwide manhunt when they flee into the rugged New Zealand bush to escape child services. They are forced to work together to survive and despite their differences, form a bond in this hilarious and heart-felt adventure.
