Join us for Autism Awareness Month

Mary-Jane Du Toit of Spectrum Connections Charitable Trust and Janine Parsons-Eade from Autism New Zealand will host a community-focused session. Together, they will share their extensive knowledge and lived experience on supporting those with autism.

The session will cover autism and co-occurring conditions, New Zealand neurodiversity statistics, genetics, and the strengths of autistic individuals. You will also take away practical, easy-to-understand strategies around meltdowns, sensory accommodations, and where to find support and resources for individuals and families.

This session is designed for the community. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, teacher aide, business owner, retail worker, or someone who is wanting to better understand autism and how to create more inclusive, supportive environments in everyday life, this session is for you.

Delivered in an accessible and down-to-earth way, this session will help build confidence, awareness, and understanding. All welcome to attend and learn in a friendly, inclusive space.
