The Mel Young Easter Classic is the longest-running representative basketball tournament of its kind, proudly celebrating 38 years of competition.
Each Easter, the tournament brings together the basketball community across motu, competing in five age groups from U12 to U20, one adult grade, and exciting new grades planned for this year including Wheelchair, Whaikaha, Masters, and Walking Basketball.
With opportunities for everyone to be involved, the tournament is a true celebration of inclusion, community, and the enduring legacy of Mel Young, inspiring generations of players, coaches, officials, and supporters.
