Exhibitions launching:
1. The Peoples Gallery – Toi Ka Rere
Voices of Hope - Behind the Smile An Exhibition of photography by NZ Photographer Tom Gould in collaboration with Voices of Hope Trust.
"Behind the Smile” spotlights 11 everyday people who have navigated arduous mental health challenges throughout their lives. This audiovisual exhibition showcases the diversity of the human experience and explores the depth of what goes on behind the smile. It is a call to people's empathy, and a space for viewers to find hope and strength in the challenges people have overcome. Voices of Hope are immensely proud of this campaign and the conversations we had that need to be heard.
2. The Incubator Gallery
Eye See You – A Community Arts Exhibition.
"Eye See You" is a vibrant, community-driven art exhibition designed to celebrate visibility, identity, and connection. This event invites people from all walks of life — including but not only, those within the LGBTQIA+ community, to paint their own eyes or the eyes of someone they love onto wooden tiles.
Through this collective work of art, we create a powerful visual statement: everyone deserves to be seen.
Held during Tauranga Pride Month we are pleased to support the message of belonging.
Both exhibitions run until May 10 at The Incubator Creative Hub
