EXPIRED

Contact Improvisation (CI) is a dance form and movement inquiry based on the physical principles of touch, momentum, shared weight, following a shared point of contact.

The practice plays with the skills of falling, rolling, counterbalance, lifting using minimal effort, how to make ourselves light when being lifted, and responsiveness to our partners and surroundings.

This class is a starting point for anyone new to Contact, or for practitioners expanding experience.

This 3 hour block will cover fundamental principles of CI. The purpose is to introduce, skills and concepts that practitioners feel comfortable taking into a contact jam or other movement/dance practices.

Please arrive on time, bring some water and wear loose clothing that covers the legs and shoulders.
Cost: $50
