The EVES Surbreaker Triathlon breaks from the tradition & has the swim leg at the Mount Main beach in the surf. This iconic event celebrated 40 years in 2024 and some great names of NZ Triathlon have won here. Come along and enjoy the fun.

The event has 3 distances to offer:

• A Sprint Distance race of 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run finishing with a soft-sand run along the Main Beach
• A Super Sprint race of 375m swim, 7km bike and 2.5km run finishing with a soft-sand run along the Main Beach
• An Aquathon race of 750m swim and 5km run finishing with a soft-sand run along the Main Beach

There is a 6 legged Elite Triathlon race which was implemented in 2017 and we have seen some amazing racing since then. With an amazing amount of local talent now racing short course, we hope to see some great racing in 2025.

This event is a very social occasion during the holiday season so grab a mate and do it as a team or enter as an individual and have some holiday fun.
