We are calling for poetry-lovers, both readers and writers, to join
Lines & Lyrics for a celebration of poetry!
Come along to enjoy poetry readings by local poets and share your own poems or favourites at the open mic
During this event, we’ll also announce the
L&L National Poetry Day 2026 Competition prize winners.
Free. No booking required. Light refreshments provided.
Lines & Lyrics National Poetry Day 2026 Competition
If you’re 18+ and live in the Bay of Plenty and/or have come along to L&L meetings, you’re invited to enter our poetry competition.
Any topic, up to 42 lines. Maximum 3 entries, haiku 5 entries.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Entries close midnight 1 August. (All entries will be eligible for submission to the L&L inaugural anthology.)
