Draft event cannot be saved
Expired event cannot be saved
A special Remembrance Sunday service, hosted by the Pāpāmoa War Memorial Trust to commemorate Armistice Day.
This event is held on Sunday 9 November (as opposed to 11 November) to allow more public to attend.
Alongside remembering all those who have served in our armed forces, this year’s theme honours the thousands of animals that served during the World Wars and those that continue to serve today in the NZ Police and NZ Customs.
The service will feature representatives from France and England, a performance of the New Zealand national anthem, and the sounding of the Last Post. Following the service, red and purple poppies will be available to place on the memorial in remembrance of a person or animal who served.
All are welcome to attend and join in remembrance.
Free parking is available at Pāpāmoa Pony Club.
