A fun baking challenge for kids, featuring at-home creations and a prize-giving fair.
Get ready for some delicious fun at the Kiwi Kids’ Bake Off!
Register to receive your Bake at Home Box, create your masterpiece at home, then bring it along on Bake Off Day for judging and prizes.
Open to young bakers aged 5 to 12, this competition features two age groups and two baking categories: technical cookies or showstopper cakes. The age groups are Years 0-4 at school and Years 5-8. Kids can enter one or both baking categories (you'll need to buy a ticket to enter each).
The top three winners in each category will receive a prize. Kids will drop off their baking between 10am and 11am on May 2, and the prizegiving and fun fair event will start at 1pm. This event is part of the Flavours of Plenty Festival, an annual celebration of the Coastal Bay of Plenty’s vibrant food scene. The festival runs from 16 April to 3 May 2026.
