Looks like the rain’s decided to crash our blockbuster night tonight! To keep everyone safe and dry, tonight’s screening of A Minecraft Movie is cancelled.

Night Owl Cinema is back at the Tauranga waterfront with a free screening of the epic A Minecraft Movie (PG), proudly supported by Tauranga City Council.
Come early, let the kids explore the incredible destination playground next door, and soak up the buzz before the movie begins. As the sun sets, roll out your blanket, layer up for the cool evening air, and settle in for a night of adventure.
Pack a picnic or treat yourself to coffee and popcorn at the waterfront (cash only), or grab a bite from one of the many local cafes and restaurants in the city.
The movie starts at 7:00pm.
Please note: All Children must be accompanied by a supervisor.
In the case of wet weather, this event will be cancelled. This will be announced via What's on Tauranga social media (Facebook and Instagram).
Parking
Parking is free in the city centre after 5pm on weekdays and free all weekend. We suggest parking in the new Dive Crescent car park and starting the trail from there, or alternatively parking in the Spring Street or Elizabeth Street parking building. As it is a self-guided trail, you start from the closest kiwi to where you park. Find out more about city centre parking here.
Mobility parking
Mobility parks are located in all the parking buildings and on street. For more mobility parking options, check out the TCC website.
Bike Parking
If you are biking in, there is free bike parking at the Bikebox shelters located on the Strand opposite Hamilton Street and at 1 Devonport Road near Red Square. Each bike shelter provides weather protection for 10 bikes/scooters and are monitored by CCTV cameras.
