These April school holidays, we’re celebrating the timeless charm of Hairy Maclary and friends and one of Aotearoa’s most beloved storytellers, Lynley Dodd.
In partnership with Toi Tauranga Art Gallery, Downtown Tauranga is hosting two free, immersive Hairy Maclary Storytime events for all the whānau to enjoy in the heart of Tauranga, these school holidays.
Across two special mornings, you and your whānau can experience a live reading of Hairy Maclary and Friends classics with Lynley Dodd herself, including a Q&A session, book signings, spot prizes and the chance to explore the newly reopened Art Gallery. It’s also the perfect opportunity for families to make a day of it — stay for lunch and treat yourselves at our local eateries, browse some of the hidden retail gems, and have some fun along the waterfront and the many family friendly play areas around the city.
This is a free event, however registrations are essential.
