Saravá Fest — Culture, Connection and Celebration
Terreiro Mãe Oxum is proud to present Saravá Fest, an annual free community festival celebrating Afro-Brazilian culture, heritage and diversity in Aotearoa New Zealand.
More than a festival, Saravá Fest is a place to connect, belong, share and celebrate. Through music, dance, food, art, traditions and storytelling, we bring people together to experience the richness of Brazilian culture while honouring its Afro-diasporic and Indigenous roots.
At the heart of Saravá Fest is the spirit of exchange — sharing food, creativity, knowledge and traditions, and creating opportunities for people from different backgrounds to meet, participate and celebrate together. Our vibrant market is an important part of this experience, bringing together artists, makers, food producers, creators and the wider community.
