Welcome back to Screw Loose. Someone's wiggling. Everyone's grinning. Nobody's entirely sure what genre this is and nobody cares.

We've been digging deep in the underground again, and this time we've struck pure gold. We excavate the artists who love to break the mould, and give them the stage to do exactly what they want with it. Vol. 3 is no exception.

This time we're lucky enough to be handing the reigns to our dear friends Cheep Frills - the delightfully unhinged duo of Marcos Alonso and Dolphin Therapy. Wonky, wild, and wired for joy – they're coming to deliver dancefloor stompers with their live show.

CheepFrills

CheepFrills are delightfully offbeat duo serving up a live show that’s as fruity as it is funky. Blending electronic grooves with vibrant vocals, their sets bounce from hip- shaking dance floor stompers to cheeky reimagined covers, all wrapped in a wonky, feel-good vibe. Whether you’re here to move or just grin from ear to ear, Cheep Frills brings the party with a wink and a wiggle.

Salty Chops

Salty Chops is a second-generation Egyptian queen whose preferred bling is music that speaks to the soul AKA “valium on wax.” Just the facts. Blending hip-hop and soul with electronica and sunshine grooves that are creamier than hummus and as flowing as the Nile, she creates sets centered around a communal celebration of the good, the conscious, and the loved-up things in life. Trust this wife.

msjos

An eclectic performer who finds joy in the weird and whimsical, msjos has been bringing wide grins and bass faces alike to audiences across NZ for over half a decade. With an ear for grooves and an obsession with the odd, Joss is on a constant quest to bring pleasantly peculiar sounds to the masses with his multi genre performances. Whether funk, house, glitch-hop, indie dance, slow chunky techno, breaks, jungle, whatever Joss is vibing is what he’ll play.

International Culture

Our events are intentional - we are here as an alternative to the binge culture of the mainstream. Do take care of yourself and each another as taxis will be called by our friendly security team for those that cannot look after themselves. If you see someone that needs help or doesn’t look okay, reach out.

We also want to create a culture where everyone feels safe and respected. If you’re not sure about whether what you’re doing is okay, just ask. Be aware of the people around you and think about how you might feel if you were them. Sometimes people don’t want to hug you, don’t want pictures taken of themselves, or don’t want you all up in their personal space.

If someone says “no” it means "no". If it's not a "F*** yes!" it's not a "yes".
